In May of 1986, I graduated from Benavides High School in a class size of 68 students.  Immediately after I graduated, I began taking my basics college course work at Georgia Military College in Kingsville for one full year.  After one year at GMC, I transferred to Texas A& I University " Go Hoggies !"  where I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a Specialization in Kinesiology in 1990 and pursued a Masters in Administration in 2003.

Experience.... experience.....yes,  I do have lots of experience.  Twenty six years of experience in the field of Education.   I've taught all levels in education from 2nd grade to 6th grade all subject areas and have coached both Junior High and High School levels of competition.  I'm proud to say that I had the privilege of coaching a Lady Owls State Track team that advanced 3 years to the State level and did an outstanding job.   We've been very successful the past 8 years that I've been back at OEISD at the Junior High too.  Several District Titles that were so well deserved by our athletes.  Our goal is to continue to succeed in all that we do and to make our program as successful as we can.

My name is Maureen Canales- Molina and I'm the oldest of three daughters.  I was born in Alice Texas and  raised in Benavides, Texas where my parents still reside today.  I've been married for 10 years to my husband Brandon  and we have a wonderful energetic 11 year old daughter Elena who keeps us very busy.

Most of my free time is spent with family either back home in Benavides or with my husband and daughter.  We love to take spontaneous trips to the Canyon Lake or where ever the road will lead us on a spur moment trip.  Family time is very important to us and we make the most of it as much as possible especially with our busy schedules.
